I moved to Maine in October of 2013 and dealt with Cheney insurance for my home and car insurance. I received a letter from them saying they had a representative, Rachel to help me through the signup process for health insurance. I had received notification from my previous health insurance carrier that my monthly payment would be going up from $577 to $714 monthly with an out of pocket of almost $5,000. Because I have an ongoing health condition, I always reach my out of pocket for the year. I was going to have to pay around $13,000 in 2014 for my health insurance.
Rachel was able to easily find me a plan that, with financial help, only costs me $3.20 a month. I do have an out of pocket of $6,350 which is still alot of money, but HALF of what I was expecting to pay.
Rachel was almost as giddy as I with the savings!
